The pinnacle of a plant's life is when it produces fruits and flowers. These fruits and flowers are made even sweeter and more precious when the partaker give thanks to God for the bounteous blessing. So it is with us. We can find greater joy in our efforts when we recognize the Lord's hand in all things and share the bounteous blessings he has bestowed upon us.

One Horizon Easter Thought #3
When plants are growing in a healthy manner they produce leaves that slowly break through the plant's surface. It seems so unfathomable that such a thing is possible and yet it happens all around us all the time. So it is with us as we unfold into what God wants us to become. Breaking through the surface takes courage to DO and FOLLOW THROUGH. This type of action is just as awe inspiring. We can see Christ again and again in these details. . #BecauseHeLives

One Horizon Easter Thought #2
The sun, with it's warmth and nutrient, life giving energy is loved by all. Like sun nourishes a plant, we have the ability to turn to God and receive answers to our questions. These answers can fortify our BELIEVING HEARTS in all of the tasks that we pursue and in all of the searches we may have for truth. It is in these details that we can find for ourselves that CHRIST IS HERE!!! #BecauseHeLives

One Horizon Easter Thought #1
Seeds are so amazing, when you think about it. The miracle of how they can sprout into the beginning of a new creation never gets old. Like seeds miraculously sprout into existence so do ideas and tasks we approach each day as we do so with BELIEVING HEARTS. This pattern in life is truly amazing and glorious. True belief in the heart, no matter how small, has the capacity to become another one of God's miracles. Jesus taught many parables about seeds. These teachings of Christ mean so much to us.#BecauseHeLives

The One Horizon Easter Gift

Ever since OnE HoRiZoN decided to share the spiritual thoughts for the week from our One Horizon meetings, I have found myself praying more fervently to know what it is that I should share when it was my turn because I believe that even though our viewers may be small in number and our talents may be at the very beginning stages of development it is part of God's plan for us to develop those talents we have in such a way that will uplift the human family.
I don't want us to limit ourselves, though, by being blind to our potential as daughters of God with inherited qualities and gifts. If there is a member of the human family that we can uplift or comfort I want us to be able to do so to the very best of our ability. It is my hope and prayer each time we share a message on our blog, unite our voices in song, combine our efforts with the Lord in the creation of a new song or an arrangement of an old one, that some how it will find a way to that heart that needs it the most. I take this duty most seriously and feel like we are on the Lord's errand no matter how young we may be in our development or simple we may be in our efforts. it is one of my greatest hopes that we can somehow make a difference one step at a time.
With that thought in mind, in the festive spirit of Easter, I would like to share little snippets of spiritual thoughts from One Horizon each day from now until Easter. This is our gift to all of you. We hope you enjoy it and have a blessed Easter day.

Dependence on the Lord
A quick uplifting thought for today....We had another One Horizon meeting, (which means we had a cross-country conference call), and we discussed our dependence upon the Lord.
When life is going smoothly, it is so easy to let good habits slip. Habits like studying (not just reading) the scriptures, and praying always (not just falling asleep while kneeling next to the bed.) Also things like "early to bed and early to rise," and following good eating practices.
When life gives us trials, suddenly we realize our utter dependence upon the Lord. We are always in constant need of Him; we just don't always realize it until we are in a difficult situation or we have an experience that truly humbles us to the dirt. There is strength in humility.
We are nothing without God but with Him we can do all things.

One Horizon Armed Forces Holiday Tribute 2014
Hello friends!
We hope you all are enjoying a wonderful Christmas season this year. As we take time to think of loved ones, we are reminded of our beginnings as a music group and the many family members and friends who will be apart from one another this holiday season. Our heart goes out to them and we wanted to express gratitude to all who have sacrificed this season and every season by being apart so that we can all be protected and enjoy the freedoms we enjoy in this country. We hope you all will be uplifted as you watch and share this armed forces holiday tribute we made for 2014.
Merry Christmas!
